What about the other package?

26 Feb

I said there were two packages, remember?

The first is the one that Adlinah my partner in the bead soup sent, The other one was a little surprise too: I won the pendants book from lark’s in the giveaway that was running at Beading Arts

A selection of great, new, and even weird looking pendants are building up this book, glad I have it!

At last! Bead soup arrived!

26 Feb

It was horrible flapping the exam papers and reading the weirdest questions I thought the Lecturer may choose! I think it could be my first time to be in such a shock because of an exam!

I’m not one of those who get very nervous in exams days –by the way- !

I got home late after that because there was crowded protest after we finished the exam!

But I forgot all of this when my sister cried: Hajer!  giving me two packages! What is that? I felt blank!

Singapore? That’s Adlinah! Running to my room taking some pictures before opening the box and, oh! Where should I start from? ……

I’m sure you all know the rest! I lost between Ohhhs and Ahhhs! Lol

I really like the beads Adlinah sent to me, was a great happiness to discover the handmade focal too! Handmade things are always special, great choice from Adlinah especially that she succeed to hit her goal of representing Singapore in her beads, I thought of the great nature, and she assured that telling me the blue is the sky and the green is the georges nature of Singapore!

The first thing I thought about while playing with the beads is how Adlinah is so creative mixing several materials in one soup: lamp work, ceramics, metal, glass, wood and rubber! To use them in one piece is a challenge to me!

So here’s the bead soup my partner sent to me:

Adlinah received her bead soup!

26 Feb

Adlinah –my partner in the BSBP- and I sent our bead soups in the same day, without planning for it, and as we discovered later, we both chose almost the same colors ‘greens and blues’ !

So, on the 1st of this month-Feb- my Singaporean partner received the package I sent, and here’s it:

It was hard thinking about what I should send, and even how much should I send!

So this is the result: seed beaded rings, glass beads, some seeds

I also wanted to send the ceramic beads that I noticed later that they go with the rest!

I just hope she like them, and she said so, so I’m pleased about it

Adlinah is a friendly partner by the way!

YEA! I know! It looks like I was sleeping while everybody is giddy in a beaded vortex!

Well, time passed fast since the 1st of 2012!

And while participations in the bead soup were very busy hiking around among blogs all the day and thinking about what they will send to their partners-and what they may receive maybe-! At that very interesting and busy time, I had to Study for my Final Exams!

Study, Final, Exams=Sounds Fairly Enough to… annoy, depress, and put pressure on people. But it’s worse when it’s in the time of the first beading event you’ve ever joined!

You know? Let’s forget about all of this and just start a new post about beads and beading only!
